Today RIM released an update to the BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha, which was met with many problems. Many users couldn’t even get access to the download. Nonetheless, a work-a-round has been found for windows users:
- Close Desktop Manger
- Navigate to the following key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Research In Motion\AppLoader (32-bit) or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Research In Motion\AppLoader (64-bit)
- Delete the SLSURL entry
- Delete the WebSLURL entry.
- Start up Desktop Manager
After successfully accomplishing this, the update should work for your Dev Alpha. Happy developing! P.S. You may need to do the restore method.
