RIM is gearing up to release the BlackBerry Style 9670 in India on CDMA carriers through Reliance Communications and Tata Indicom, the CDMA arm of Tata Teleservices. “After a successful launch in the US and Canada, we are now launching BlackBerry Style, the new dual-screen phone in the Indian market through CDMA technology ,” Research In Motion India’s Managing Director Frenny Bawa said.

India’s telecommunications industry is expected to grow 110% in the next 3 years. “India is an important market for us and our key objective is to bring new products and services in India,” Bawa said. BlackBerry Style 9670 is the first device with both a full- QWERTY keyboard and a flip form factor. The 9670 also offers dual displays, and the new BlackBerry 6 operating system. No pricing details have been announced yet.
