Apple has announced iOS 9’s public release, and as expected, we won’t have to wait long to get it. Starting September 16th, Apple’s latest software will be available for download in all devices that currently support iOS 8. If you’re a developer you’ve probably already messed around with the new OS, but for those of us that prefer not risking out device for testing purposes, it should be a nice upgrade from what we currently have.

Apple’s iOS 9 comes with an improved Siri, transit directions in Maps, a new Flipboard-style News app, a new multitasking screen, a new easier way to highlight and select words using the keyboard on the iPad and much more.

The iOS 9 launch will coincide with Apple’s WatchOS 2 release which is also schedule for the 16th of September.
