Kenyan carrier Yu plans to offer a new BlackBerry service package, which “will enable subscribers to easily access e-mail, phone, text messaging, Internet, organizer and corporate data applications form a single, integrated device.”

Before, subscribers were not able to access all of the features available. Additionally, customers wanting to purchase their first BlackBerry will be given two free months of service on the new “BB complete plan” from any of the official Yu retail centers in the country.

“The operator will initially offer the BlackBerry Bold 9900, Bold 9780, Curve 8520 and Torch 9800. The handsets will not be locked to the network and customers can choose from eight distinct plans,” the company said.
