Research In Motion has already announced their partnership with TomTom to use the TomTom HD services in BlackBerry Maps and BlackBerry Traffic apps. Apple is also utilizing TomTom’s services in iOS 6.

From what we’ve heard on the matter, TomTom just gives the basic information and the companies then have to make additional use of its integration. Apple seems to have done a really poor integration of the TomTom services for their maps app in iOS 6.

As you can see from the photo above, a lot of what appears in the iOS 6 maps app is very incorrect. It will show roads under water, places that don’t exist, or won’t show places that do exist. Needless to say it has been a big fail on Apple’s part. We can only hope RIM can do a better job at integrating TomTom in BlackBerry 10 and it won’t suck like it does on iOS 6.
