If you’re anything like me, you sometimes have several items being shipped to you at one time. You also probably like to keep track of where all these packages are because you really enjoy getting stuff in the mail. And finally, you also probably get annoyed switching from email to email to open up the tracking information on your many packages. Thankfully there’s Track A Pack for BlackBerry 10 that helps you streamline all your shipping information in one location so you can obsess over when your new goodies will arrive like a healthy person.
What Is It?
I love when an app tells you exactly what it is just by the name alone. With Track A Pack you can… track a package. See what they did there? It’s a pretty self-explanatory app name for a pretty simple app that somehow still does quite a bit. Users can add the tracking information from nearly all shipping companies in North America, with no limit to amount of packages you can add, and follow along with the progress of its journey to your home.
You can also share the tracking info with people on BBM, Text, Email, Remember, and more, as well as give each shipment its own name for easier reference.
It’s extremely convenient having all your package information in one location. There have been times where I’ve been waiting for three to five packages to come in, and I would have to pull up the email with tracking information of each one individually. That’s such a hassle and inconvenience. I’m sure there were better ways out there, but that’s what I was working with.
Track A Pack centralizes them and lets you easily switch from one to the other with little to no struggle at all. Plus, you can add information from UPS, USPS, Fedex, UPS Mail Innovations, and CanadaPost. (DHL and Purolator integration are on their way soon).
While it is nifty to have all your tracking info in one spot, it’s a bit of a hassle to enter them all in individually. You have to put in the tracking number, name the package, enter the shipping company information, and so on. It’s not exactly difficult if you’ve got one or two packages to add at a time, but once you start getting in to larger numbers, it can be a bit tedious.
I would like to see Track A Pack have the ability to scan my email for tracking numbers and automatically add them in the app. Then maybe notify me that they’ve done that and give me the option to customize the information in there. That would really make this the perfect app.
At only .99 cents in BlackBerry World, Track A Pack is a great bargain for an incredible that has a lot of room to grow, but will really help keep you moving. If you’re anything like me, you’re going to want to get this app to help you keep track of all the goodies you’ve got coming in the mail.
