BlackBerry founder and ex-CEO Mike Lazaridis said he believes iPhone and other devices users will embrace the BlackBerry Messenger app. The app was announced to be available for iOS and Android this summer during the BlackBerry Live conference. Reaction to the announcement has, so far, been mostly positive from other platform users.
“BBM is by far the most compelling wireless experience and wireless social-networking environment,” said Lazaridis yesterday at the Bloomberg Canada Economic Summit in Toronto.
We couldn’t agree more. As a user of many other messaging apps, such as WhatsApp, Line and Viber, I can confidently say that there is no other app better than BlackBerry Messenger, not to mention the security is the best. It will surely become the number one choice for many iOS and Android users, and it shows that it is no longer the only thing attracting new users to the BlackBerry platform.
