We offer a variety of ways to be informed when new articles are published on N4BB.

As of now, you can subscribe to our email notification service, which will notify you each time a new article is published.

If you’re an Apple Mac OS X user, you can add N4BB to the desktop notification center (visit from the Safari browser and you’ll be prompted to add extension), which will immediately push a notification for each new article.

Additionally, we regularly update the N4BB BBM Channel with all of our latest articles. You can follow PIN: C0001EA85

However, today we’re excited to unveil another way to be notified of newly published articles from N4BB: via Facebook.

You can continue to Follow N4BB on Facebook and see our articles in your timeline, but now we offer a service to receive mobile and desktop notifications through the Facebook website for each of our new articles.

Here’s how:

Click the Subscribe button

On any of our articles you will see a yellow ‘Subscribe’ button. And if you click the yellow subscribe button, you can either subscribe for updates via Email, or alternatively subscribe to the new service for the updates via Facebook.

Authorize the N4BB Notifications app

Once you’ve clicked the button to subscribe for Facebook notifications, you’ll see the following pop-up message prompting you to authorize the N4BB Notifications app on Facebook.

Clicking ‘Authorize’ will take you to Facebook, where you will agree to make the connection. The N4BB Notifications service can be manageable from the Facebook App settings in your account.

After successful authorization, you’ll be sent back to N4BB and it will confirm your subscription.

Here’s how a notification looks

When you are all setup and authorized, any newly published articles will push a notification to you in Facebook. Clicking on the notification will take you to the corresponding article on our website.

Currently, support for mobile app notifications is not available. The notifications will only be sent and viewable from the Facebook desktop/mobile website within a browser.

Facebook has said, they eventually plan to allow this type of notification service to be supported on mobile apps, but have not yet given an estimated arrival date.

For now, if you’re looking to stay on top of the latest BlackBerry news, op/ed, and reviews from N4BB we urge you to try this new service or one of our other available options.
