One of my absolute favorite Android and iOS apps is Google Play Music. I love the idea of all my music in the cloud and have it be very easily accessible. When BB10 launched, I found this awesome client for it called Go Music and I figured I’d give it a try. I was hooked! The app is a fantastic native Google Play Music client that works like a charm. To my disappointment the app had not received and update in a while.
I decided to reach out to the developer myself and see if he had any future plans for the application. To my surprise, 15 minutes later I received an email with the developer being very genuine about the low success of the app and how he hoped to get back into it eventually. BlackBerry’s public focus to enterprise customers has left many developers wondering if they should continue developing consumer apps for the BlackBerry 10 platform. The addition of the Amazon Appstore also affects them.
My love for this app wouldn’t allow me to just let it go, so I offered the developer a deal. I will help you promote your app, I will buy 100 copies for our N4BB readers and you will update the app. To my surprise, the developer was all for it! So here we are, an update to the app is officially approved and on the way (any moment now) with a Passport specific app coming soon as well, and we have 100 codes to give away to you guys for ABSOLUTELY free!!!
This is how its going to happen first 100 people to tweet the phrase “I love Native BB10 apps” to @N4_BB will receive a free code for Go Music
Let’s show these developers they love they deserve! If you’re curious about Go Music, check out the app here in BlackBerry World.
