We figured, what the hell, why show 3D renders when we already have this live image of the BlackBerry Monaco (possibly Storm3) that leaked months ago? Nevertheless, if you really want to look at very low-res render images, you can see them here. We already knew the ‘Storm3’ would be codenamed Monaco, and that it might not even be called a Storm. Previous specs have already been outed, and even closely match these rumored new ones:

  • 1.2GHz processor
  • 3.7-inch 800 x 480 capacitive display
  • Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
  • Tri-band UMTS/HSPA
  • 5-megapixel camera with 720p video recording
  • 8GB eMMC (storage for apps and data), 512MB of RAM
  • microSD slot
  • Magnetometer
  • Proximity sensor
  • Accelerometer
  • Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
  • 2.4GHz b/g/n and 5GHz a/n Wi-Fi + UMA
  • 3G Mobile hotspot
  • Optical trackpad
  • 1230 mAh battery
  • BlackBerry OS 6.1
  • OpenGL ES 2.0

The back and sides of the Monaco (Storm3) are actually said to be different than what is shown in the 3D renders from BGR. Hopefully, we will see some more live images of the device for tangible proof. The Monaco is said to be releasing in September, however, we’ve heard it has already hit production. This means we could see the Monaco by Spring, not fall. Nevertheless, all is rumor and speculation, but you can thank BerryReview for the real image of the BlackBerry Monaco.
