Google is preparing to launch its new Nexus lineup at the end of this month. This comes courtesy of CNET who’s reporting today that an event scheduled for September 29 in San Francisco will features Google’s latest flagship devices. Expected to be announced are both LG and Huawei’s Nexus smartphones, one big and one small device respectively.
The September announcement will be earlier than many expected. Last year, the Nexus 6 was made official in November, so there’s a chance that we may just see them shown off, and not necessarily made available for purchase right away.
Rumors about the 2015 Nexus devices have been coming out in the last few weeks, and they’ve told us quite a lot. So far, we know the LG Nexus will feature a 5.2-inch display and mid-tier internal specs. Google will more than likely position this one as the new Nexus 5. Huawei’s Nexus will be the higher-end phablet that follows up the Nexus 6. It’s set to include a QHD display, fingerprint scanner and all metal build. Don’t expect this one to be priced like LG’s Nexus at all.
Both devices should obviously come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, so if you’re looking to be one of the first to use this new software, you’ll have to pick one of these bad boys up when they’re released.
