If Research In Motion couldn’t take another blow from a content provider dropping support for BlackBerry, the New York Times has announced it is ending support for its BlackBerry app. BlackBerry users can still access the newspaper through the mobile website, which will become the focus of its electronic- publishing efforts, New York Times Co. said in a message on its site.
However, NYT will continue its effort with dedicated apps for the iPhone and Android devices. It has only been nearly 3 years since NYT first introduced the free app to BlackBerry users. If you were a reader of the publication, does it change your readership dedication since they’ve dropped BlackBerry?
