Google Now’s “OK Google” feature can come quite handy when you need to send a message and can’t type for whatever reason. Which is why it’s great news that you can now send messages through third party messaging apps using voice commands.

It’s likely that you use third party apps for messaging, and if you use WhatsApp, Viber, WeChat, Telegram or NextPlus, you will now be able to use the “OK Google” feature to send messages with these apps. So far, only these are supported but hopefully more will be added with time.

To use this, you will have to download the latest version of the Google app from the Play Store.
