Even though its flagship OnePlus 2 smartphone packs a lot in a relatively cheap package, the company is not done making its devices more affordable. In an interview with The Economic Times, OnePlus India’s general manager Vikas Agarwal confirmed plans for a more “affordable” smartphone. The company won’t be wasting anytime getting it out as they’re “introducing a new device by the end of this year,” he said. “Diwali [November 11] would be the ideal time, but next quarter for sure.”

Rumors surrounding this cheaper OnePlus have hinted at it costing less than $300, with it possibly being as low as $180 off-contract.

We’re hoping this phone sees a worldwide rollout, but if not, you can definitely expect it in growing markets like India and Southeast Asia.
