Currently, the only Over-The-Air (OTA) installing of applications onto the BlackBerry PlayBook is through App World. For developers and consumers, the only way to get non-App World listed apps is to side-load the .BAR files. While some 3rd party developers have created programs such as DDPB to simplify this method, it is still a daunting task for the average user.

As stated in the tweet above, OTA install of .BAR files will not be supported. Will it ever be supported? Does this mean we can expect to side-load upcoming apps onto BlackBerry 10 devices too? Let us know if you’d rather download apps via OTA. Or, if you do no mind side-loading apps.
