Pacemaker & RIM Announce Exclusive DJ App for BlackBerry PlayBook

While at the developers meeting during Mobile World Congress 2012, RIM made a brief announcement. They’ve revived the dead Pacemaker company to develop and exclusive DJ app for the BlackBerry PlayBook. Details are slim, but at the event they announced that in the DJ app there will be auto beatmatching, vinyl mode with scratching, digital mode, looping, loop travel, pitch control, beat skip and “pro level” effects.

In terms of its release, RIM said sometime in the Spring. There was also no mention of a price tag. So get cracking PlayBook owners with filling up that music collection!
