New Moto 360 To Be Announced on September 8th

It seems like we might be finally getting an official announce of the next Moto 360 soon. Lenovo sent out invites to a media event called “It’s time”. The event will be taking place in Shanghai on September 8th.

There have been so many leaks of the new Moto 360 in different colors, sizes and straps and it would seem like there isn’t much left to be announced. We’re expecting to see three different types of Moto 360, in two different sizes. The Sport variant, leather strap and metal band in both 42mm and 38mm.

We’re only a few days away from the announcement, what else do you expect to see?

Snapdragon 820 to Include Onboard Malware Protection

As we eagerly await the latest mobile processor from Qualcomm, they have released some refreshing news.  With issues like the Stagefright exploit still fresh in consumers’ minds, Qualcomm is looking to help make all mobile platforms safer.  Included in the upcoming 820 CPU will be technology they’ve dubbed “Snapdragon Smart Protect”.  Unlike software based detectors, which rely on application signatures for detection, Snapdragon Smart Protect uses zero day technology to weed out bad applications.  This means it can detect new malicious applications before they’re recognized by security companies, in real time, and lock down it’s [...]

Hound for iPhone Seeds Early Alpha Version for Testers

Back in June, SoundHound announced its first voice search app, Hound, and now it’s letting some select users test out the first version of it for the iPhone. Hound, which aims to make life using voice search much easier, has put itself in direct competition with the likes of Siri, Google Now, Cortana, and others, but it’s confident its superior search ability will make it stand out from the rest.

In early tests of the alpha version out now, Hound has performed quite admirably for me. Asking it “is it going to rain today?” in a natural tone not only returned the correct written response for my location, but also included the forecast throughout the day. [...]

Leaked iPhone 6s Plus Panel Shows ‘Force Touch’ Tech

While Apple’s next iPhones may not look different on the outside, rumors have the new 6s and 6s Plus models featuring some new tech internally. Today, the first pictures of the iPhone 6s Plus’ display have leaked and they show the same layout arrangement as previous iPhone 6s leaks. This points towards the bigger variant also having Apple’s terribly named Force Touch technology built-in.

Apple Could Make Original Movies and TV Shows

It seems like Cupertino giant, Apple, might be looking into making their own movies and TV shows. Sources told Variety that the company wants to make original movies and TV shows and had already been meeting with Hollywood executives.

We’ve already heard rumors about Apple possibly releasing a service to watch live TV, and though that’s not exactly Netflix and Amazons’ model, they both do have their own original productions and it makes sense that Apple look into that as well.

Other rumors said Apple had tried to get Top Gear actors, Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond, but Amazon managed to snag them.

Right now it seems Apple is only [...]

Drivers Ignore Tech Features According to Survey

Results are in, and it doesn’t look good for companies banking on growth in the automotive technology users.

JD Power has recently completed and posted a survey for new car owners, and the results may surprise you.  According to the results of their survey, people don’t like to use the tech in their cars.  In fact, in the 4,200 new drivers they survey, more than 20% reported they used half or less of the infotainment systems on offer in their cars.  While 20% seems like a small number, it actually amounts to 1 in 5 new car drivers, which is actually significant.

As for the breakdown, it seems the concierge apps are the least used at 43%.  On board internet [...]
