Research In Motion has got themselves in a bind. BlackBerry 7 smartphone and PlayBook sales were terrible. As a result, RIM is sitting on a bunch of inventory, an estimated $1 Billion worth.
With their shares dropping to nearly single digits, RIM has been weighing the options available to them. One likelihood is the sale of all or parts of the company. Their hardware division is tanking and really only have QNX left to stand on. Should RIM look to sell itself and recoup some of the losses or bite the bullet and hope BlackBerry 10 is a win?
