Google’s modular smartphone project, named Project Ara, has been delayed until next year, 2016. If you’re not yet familiar with Project Ara, it’s something Google has been working on for a while now trying to make a modular smartphone where you can add and remove components easily.
The project was planned for launch this year in Puerto Rico, but plans have been change according to some tweets from Project Ara’s Twitter account. They also mentioned they will probably be arriving the US first instead of Puerto Rico.
There aren’t any more details, but we hope this delay is for the best. Project Ara looks like a promising idea, and we can’t wait to see it in action.
