Qualcomm has announced two new Snapdragon processors today. While neither is the Snapdragon 820 we’re still waiting for, the new Snapdragon 212 and Snapdragon 412 chips should offer nice improvements over the processors currently in the market.
The Snapdragon 412 will be replacing the 410. It has faster memory, an improved Adreno 306 GPU and X5 LTE. This new chip also supports Full HD video recording and viewing, Quick Charge 1.0 and 2.0, and 13.5-megapixel cameras.
The Snapdragon 212 follows in the footsteps of the 210 which is aimed at low-end devices. It’s not a 64-bit chip like the 412, features an Adreno 304 GPU, and it supports 8-megapixel cameras.
No word from Qualcomm on when we’ll see these new processors make their debut, but we’re probably looking at early 2016.
