RIM has announced a new developers challenge for Latin America called Reto BlackBerry. This one is actually quite interesting because it doesn’t require participants to have any programming knowledge at all. You will get 3 months to learn to code to create your app with help of experts in mobile development. To participate, you must live in Venezuela and create an app for the BlackBerry PlayBook in one of the following categories: Entertainment or Games.
Winners will get US$10,000 for the first place and US$5,000 for the second place as well as a trip to MTV in Buenos Aires. All of the participants, once they have uploaded their app to the App World, will get a free PlayBook! If you want to learn more and participate, just head over to retoblackberry.com for more info and registration.
