Jakarta police have banned Research In Motion’s Indonesia President Director, Andrew Cobham, from leaving the country. This ban is while police investigate if Cobham and Terry Burki, a security consultant hired by RIM, are guilty in the stampede that happened during the Bold 9790 launch.

“Yes, both have been banned. This is part of the consequence of their actions,” South Jakarta Police Chief Sr. Comr. Imam Sugianto said. This is the second RIM employee, and first executive to be named a suspect. Two others have also been named suspects for negligence in the security of the event.
