Today BlackBerry announced via their official blog that they will be introducing a new app into their Beta Zone, BlackBerry Radio. This new app sets out to make finding and listening to different radio services more integrated into the BlackBerry system. From within the app you can access all your favorite services like Slacker and iheartradio.

You can play it just like any other native media application on your device and through the new Amazon MP3 Storefront, you can even make purchases.

Key features of BlackBerry Radio include:

  • Access popular internet and terrestrial radio services like Slacker, Pandora, Clear Channel, and Corus in one place
  • Quickly browse genre-based radio stations
  • Enjoy seamless integration with your BlackBerry smartphone for quick and easy access to BlackBerry radio partners and the Amazon MP3 storefront
  • Try premium radio apps within BlackBerry Radio for free
  • Just start rockin’! No set-up required

BlackBerry Radio will be available only for devices running BlackBerry 6.

Be sure to keep an eye out for this in the Beta Zone later today!
