Microsoft announced a few days ago their entering the tablet market with it’s Surface tablet but if you thought RIM would be scared of it, think twice. RIM’s vicepresident of global alliances and business development, Martyn Mallick, said RIM is confident of BlackBerry 10 and what has to offer as a platform. He said the announcement of Microsoft’s Surface tablet will not change the PlayBook.

“I don’t see any immediate changes from my perspective.” said Mallick on Tuesday

We told you before about Niko and Ross attending BB 10 Jam in New York and showed you a hands on video of BlackBerry 10 Messages app and BlackBerry 10 keyboard and we must say it still looks impressive. So what do you think? Should RIM consider the Surface tablet a threat to the PlayBook?
