During RIM’s earnings call, they announced that they will demo PlayBook OS 2.0. The updated OS is said to bring the much anticipated PIM features, native e-mail, calendar, video store, and more. This update is said to release soon thereafter. Although, it was supposed to release during the summertime in North America.
Additionally, RIM announced they would show off prototypes of devices running the QNX operating system. Thus far, testing is said to be going very well. We can only hope that RIM is not rushing the QNX devices in hopes for a quicker turnaround.
Despite the poor earnings report and second delay with PlayBook software, RIM said they’re still on target for 2012.
