That’s right folks; the wait is finally over. International users of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will start receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the next few days. Earlier today, Samsung also started seeding the Android 6.0.1 update to the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in South Korea.

International customers will be receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update starting today. Unfortunately, Samsung didn’t mention anything about the Note 5 Marshmallow update. Users are still waiting for the official Marshmallow update on the phablet.

Samsung did, however, mention that other compatible devices will soon start receiving the update as well. More details on that will be announced soon.

This update is for the unlocked versions of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. So, if you’re sporting a carrier locked device, you will have to wait longer.

With the Galaxy S6 Marshmallow update, your device will get new features such as Doze Mode, individual app permissions, Google Now on Tap and much more. The Galaxy S6 Edge marshmallow update will include enhanced edge screen features. More on these features can be read over here.

Once you receive the update, make sure you’re on a stable WiFi connection, so the download isn’t interrupted. When the download is ready and you’re ready to install, make sure that you have more than 50% charge on your device.
