Sony officially announced their new SmartBand 2, a fitness tracker with a bunch of cool features, looking to compete in the fitness tracker market, which has become quite popular among gadgets.
The SmartBand 2 no longer has a display, instead it alerts you with vibrations. But it does pack some cool new things, such as a heart rate sensor to monitor your heart rate while you work out or at any time during the day. It’s also IP68 water resistant for up to 3 meters under water.
You can pair de SmartBand 2 with Sony’s Lifelog app to keep track of your activities. It supports devices running Android 4.4 or later and will be available for around $130 in September, no specific date announced yet. For those who like color options, you’ll be able to get it in black, white, pink and blue.
