A good friend who has helped scoop us before recently reached out to me. It was told to me that BlackBerry had already begun working on a Z10 successor.
The next all-touch BlackBerry 10 device would be similar looking to the Z10, but with updated internals. It looks to be specced out as the Aristo. The OS build on this device will be the “true” BlackBerry 10, apparently.
Ironically, Ina Fried from AllThingsD just today reports something similar. The BlackBerry Z10 successor will be carried by Sprint in the second half of year.
Sprint initially passed on the BlackBerry Z10, only to publicly state they’d carry the Q10. Though, the Z10 may still make its way onto Sprint sometime mid-year, says Fried.
Nevertheless, it’s great to hear things are ramping up for the next BlackBerry 10 devices. Sprint customers, will you be waiting for the Z10 or hang on just a little longer for its successor?
