Phoenix and SessionM’s mobile insights platform, mXP, revealed some interesting data that shows 12% of Android users are planning to switch to iOS when the iPhone 6S/7 is released. The short study was based on a single question on more than 39 thousand random users on August 11th. From these users, 42% had Android devices and 58% had iOS.

The question asked was “Are you planning on buying the new iPhone this fall?”, which was sent to these users through the mXP platform. Here’s how they answered:


From those who participated, 12% answered that they would either definitely switch or at least they are considering it. Of course, we will have to see how it goes when the device is actually announced, but as of now it’s looking quite good for Apple.
