Instagram Adds Support for Landscape and Portrait Photos

So you’re walking around and you see this great scene and decide to take a photo. On Portrait mode. And upload it to Instagram. What happens is you have to do one of two things: use a third party app to add borders to the photo so you can upload it without cropping it, or crop it to make it square. The problem is most times you don’t want to do that. Now, you won’t have to as Instagram updated the app to add support for landscape and portrait photo. Let’s take a moment and celebrate.

Amazon Introduces “Underground”, Removes Free App Of The Day

Amazon has removed their “Free App of the Day” promotion in favor a new section they called “Underground”. If you’re familiar with Amazon’s Android Appstore, you probably know that everyday they offered a new free app of the day that would be available for just that day. The promotion has been removed and Amazon has introduced a new section of the Appstore called “Underground”.

Underground is a part of Amazon Appstore where you can find “actually free” apps, games and in-app items. Not sure what they mean by “actually free”, but at least we know these apps will be available for free and probably for more [...]

Link Bubble for Android Now Available For Free

Link Bubble, the popular bubble browser, has just got it’s major update, and it’s not exactly in the app. A few weeks ago the developer of the app, Chris Lacy, announced that the app had new owners. Today, Link Bubble has been made free for all, and if you bought it recently you will be offered a refund.

If you’ve ever used Link Bubble before, you will know there used to be a free version of the app with limited features, and full version, but you will only find one app now. For those of you who bought the app on or after August 4th, you can send an email to [email protected] to request your refund.

Cortana For Android Now Available In Public Beta In US

Microsoft’s personal voice assistant, Cortana, is now available for Android in public beta for anyone in the US. The app was initially launched in a closed beta, so close that even if you managed to snag the APK, you wouldn’t be able to use it. But now, it is finally open and anyone who wants to try it out can sign up and download it.

Keep in mind, Cortana for Android is a beta and it is bound to have some issues which you, as a beta tester, are responsible for reporting and helping make the app better.
