New BlackBerry 10 Icons – Here’s What They Look Like

Just a few weeks ago we learned that Research In Motion is planning on changing up BlackBerry 10’s icons. The new icons will be scaled from 150×150 to 114×114, giving them a look similar to the PlayBook UI.

The past icons we first saw on BlackBerry 10 I liked much better than the new ones. The more square and uniformed look was more pleasing to the eyes versus the now varying icon sizes.

How do you like the new BlackBerry 10 icon setup? Does it matter if the icons aren’t all in similar shape?

BlackBerry 10 Icons to Look Like PlayBook’s at Launch?

@UrbanGlowCam wrote a nice forums post describing how the current BlackBerry 10 icons we’ve seen will go back to looking like the PlayBook’s.

He says “someone at RIM who confirmed developers should change their current app icons.” RIM is apparently dropping the size from 150 x 150 down to 114 x 114.
