The winner for the first simultaneous Asia Pacific (APAC) wide 40-hour Hackathon was announced during BlackBerry Jam Asia 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand. Team Inspira from Jakarta, led by Vincentius Putra, was choosen as the winner with their app Soccer Ticker. Soccer Ticker helps users stay updated with the latest football results and remain connected with friends at all times.

The team won a gran price of US$10,000 in cash, an all-expenses paid trip to the BlackBerry 10 global launch event, BlackBerry App World marketing for two months following the BlackBerry 10 launch and dedicated technical & business consultancy for up to three months after the launch of BlackBerry 10 in Indonesia.

The runners up were Hive from Australia and Lifebox 365 from Vietnam. Hive is a ride-sharing service that helps large companies optimize corporate travel costs and promotes consideration for the environment by cutting the number of duplicate taxi journeys to one destination. The Lifebox 365 application looks at helping users to accomplish their goals, by logging their progress with pictures and voice clips with comments, as they work towards their objective.
