BlackBerry plans to win back its previous and secure current customers by furthering the physical keyboard BlackBerry smartphones.
“The focus is going to be very keyboard centric,” said BlackBerry CEO John Chen in an interview with Reuters. BlackBerry engineers are currently working on three new physical keyboard BlackBerry smartphones.
These next-generation BlackBerry smartphones that are being “kicked around right now” are planned to release over the next 18 months.
BlackBerry recently announced the BlackBerry Q20 during the Mobile World Congress 2014. The company plans to bring this device by the end of 2014.
We’ve previously seen a device dubbed the ‘BlackBerry Windermere‘, which will likely not be released until 2015. Nevertheless, for those who are QWERTY lovers, stay tuned to BlackBerry’s next three devices.
