Verizon customers looking to upgrade their existing device or add a new line will see an increase in the fee they’re charged really soon. The company confirmed yesterday a report that they are raising up these service prices next week.
Verizon’s new line activation fees (previously $35) will reach $40 per line across the board. This price will include upgrade fees as well (previously $30). According to Verizon, this is the first time since 2012 they are increasing upgrade fees, and the first time in ten years since it last increased new line activation fees.
The new fee pricing goes into effect on February 5th.
