Verizon Wireless CEO Hopeful for BlackBerry’s Success

We’ve heard it before from Verizon Wireless’ chief executive, Dan Mead, that there can’t be only two options available to consumers. Verizon Wireless has been a pretty big proponent for offering multiple options to its customers.

Mead did not make mention of the sell-through on the BlackBerry Z10. However, he did note that there is demand for the physical QWERTY BlackBerry 10 device, the Q10.

“We’re hopeful it will meet the needs for our customers who have been loyal BlackBerry customers,” Mead said, according to CNET, and saying that ”three to four operating systems is good for the industry and good for us.”

Verizon Wireless has been quite proactive in marketing the BlackBerry Z10 and the new features found in BlackBerry 10. It will be interesting to see if they push the Q10 harder than the Z10.
