The BlackBerry Passport is a very polarizing device when it comes to its looks. So people think it looks great, myself included, while others aren’t huge fans of its design. One thing most of us can agree on though is that the white version of the Passport is definitely a thing of beauty. For some reason though, BlackBerry has yet to make the Passport available in white for any carrier or store, ShopBlackBerry included. We know it exists, so when will we see it?
Well according to some people we’ve spoken to close to the situation, this beautiful white variant of the Passport will be made available some time in November to the public. No specific dates for now, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see it launched around the same time the Classic makes its debut.
In the interest of full disclosure, there’s a site in UAE that lists the Passport in white, but it’s not exactly an official distribution channel, so we can’t really count that as available to the public.
I personally know a few people waiting for the Passport in white that were a little disappointed it wasn’t and still isn’t available in any channel. Thankfully, since today is the first day of October, November is technically next month, so it’s not that long of a wait.
There’s also always the chance BlackBerry pushes up this time frame too. Maybe if enough people start requesting the white Passport, they’ll have no other choice. This does beg the question though, would you pick up a white BlackBerry Passport over its classic black look?
