WordPress Dropping the Android Port, Going Native

WordPress Dropping the Android Port, Going Native

Most of us bloggers are familiar with WordPress and if you have a PlayBook or a BlackBerry 10 device, you probably use the app to do most of your blogging. The current WordPress app for BlackBerry 10 is an Android port, and while it works well, it would be a lot better if it was a native app.

Good news is WordPress has confirmed they will get rid of the Android port and go native. They announced this in a post about their 10th anniversary where they talk about all their future plans. There are no news about when the app will be released, but it’s good enough to know that it’s coming sometime, hopefully soon.
